2005 - Estimation is inherited from ECCC Archives. Also appears they assumed a 10:1 ratio for snow-water equivalent, which likely caused an over-estimation of precip.
2006 - Confidence on rain amount is low. On the 15th, precipitation was incorrectly entered as snow instead of rain in the ECCC archives. 0.5 mm of freezing rain (mixed with ice pellets) fell, not 0.5 cm snow. On the 23rd, at least a portion of the precip was rain. An estimation of 0.5 mm is created. Note Charleswood had 1.0 mm on the 23rd and 0.6 mm on the 15th. Although not in the table, note that the 25.5 mm of precip for the month is likely overestimated due to ECCC assuming a 10:1 ratio with snow and possible nipher shield issues during rain and freezing rain.
2010 - Confidence on rainfall amount is moderate. On the 23rd, between 08z and 09z it was mostly rain (rain mixed with ice pellets but rain as main precip type). 0.6 mm of precip was recorded at XWG during this hour. I am using 0.5 mm as an estimation for rainfall for the day as a result.
2012 - Confidence on rainfall amount is low. On the 6th, mostly rain was reported overnight and there was 1.0 mm recorded in synops for the period. It could not be determined exactly how much of the precip was rain versus snow. 100% of the 1.0 mm is assumed rain. XWG recorded no precip amount during the period.
2017 - Confidence on rainfall amount is moderate-high. Rainfall estimated due to mixed rain and snow between 3 and 4pm on the 22nd. Assumed 0.2 mm of the 0.5 mm that hour was from rain. All other rainfall amounts were certain because it was the only precip type occurring.
2021 - Confidence on rainfall amount is low. I used the 0.4 mm recorded at Charleswood as an estimation due to difficulty getting an estimate for the airport (spurious amounts made things complicated to estimate).
