Apr 4, 1839 - Occurred at the Red River Settlement (Winnipeg The Forks area) according to the Red River Post Journal (Hudson's Bay Company).
Oct 27, 1872 - Inferred via observer comment: ''Rain in the morning. A few distant peals of thunder in the SE at 11am'' from the Open Data Rescue Project.
Oct 28, 1883 - Known 2 thunderstorm days in Oct 1883 from Report of the Meteorological Service of Canada. From the observer notes at St Boniface College, retrieved at the Library and Archives of Canada in Winnipeg, lightning was reported Oct 8 and Oct 28. I assume these were t-storm days as a result.
Oct 16, 1892 - Found in the Monthly Weather Review, published by the Government of Canada.
Mar 29, 1897 - Found in the observer notes from St John's College, retrieved from the Library and Archives of Canada in Winnipeg. The Monthly Weather Review also had one thunderstorm day that March, but did not specify the date. The observer notes confirmed the date of occurrence.
Oct 16, 1904 - First found Oct 17 in the Monthly Weather Review. However, observer notes from St John's College showed the storm actually occurred Oct 16 at 11pm.
Mar 21, 1907 - See Winnipeg Tribune article.
Apr 3, 1910 - In the Monthly Weather Review. Date changed from 4th to 3rd, however, because observer notes said the t-storm occurred at 842pm Apr 3.
Feb 28, 1914 - See Winnipeg Free Press articles from 1914 and 1960, and Report of the Meteorological Service for the Dominion of Canada, and Monthly Wx Review.
Nov 5, 1918 - See Monthly Record Meteorological Observations in Canada.

* Possible thunderstorm on March 28-29, 1862. Thunder mentioned by Samuel Taylor, however it is unclear to me if he is referring to t-storms or the name of something.
* A probable thunderstorm on March 22, 1863... However, Samuel Taylor only mentioned lightning and not thunder, therefore I am not sure if it was just distant lightning.
* A probable thunderstorm on April 3, 1866... Thunder and lightning reported by Samuel Taylor near the Red River Settlement.
* Possible thunderstorm on December 2, 1866... Some people heard thunder during some rain around lunch according to Samuel Taylor (therefore second hand reports).
* Possible thunderstorm on December 22, 1866.. Several people heard thunder before heavy rain moved in in the morning, according to Samuel Taylor.
* Possible thunderstorm on January 16 or 17, 1876. From the Winnipeg Free Press.
* A possible thunderstorm on October 17, 1892... Thunderstorms reported at Oakbank and Selkirk. Document says 2 TS days at Wpg that Oct but the list only mentioned on the 16th. Therefore, it's possible they forgot to put the 17th as well. (Monthly Weather Review)
