May 1871 - At least in the top 15 warmest on record. The average 2pm temperature was 21.0°C. No frost mentioned at Winnipeg. Data from Open Data Rescue Project.
May 1978 - Unsure where the low of 14.7°C came from for the 28th. There were several observations colder than that in the early morning. I have used the minimum hourly temperature of 11.9°C as an estimated low temperature for the day. This dropped the monthly average low and mean temperatures by 0.1 degrees.
May 2018 - Numerous issues, possibly related to station maintenance, causing missing data on the 14th, 15th, 29th, 30th and 31st. Fixes are listed following: May 14: High 20.6°C (max hourly temp) and low 1.8°C (synops). May 15: High 31.3°C and low 4.5°C (both were retrieved from frodo). May 29: High 31.3°C (was from YWG via frodo). May 30: High 20.6°C and low 16.1°C (both were from YWG via frodo). May 31: High 18.7°C and low 11.9°C (both were retrieved via frodo). These fixes resulted in a better estimate for monthly average high, low and mean temperatures than shown in the Archives.
