Known Severe Thunderstorms - St John's College (1872-1938)
Notes:
- I currently do not have access to many data for St John's College when it comes to thunderstorms (mostly 1873-1879 and a few events from newspaper archives). In the 1870s, the observer did not record a maximum gust or 1hr rainfall amounts. Therefore, no severe wind gusts and 1hr rainfall amounts are available.
- A severe thunderstorm is defined as having one of: hail at least nickel sized, 50 mm or more in an hour, wind gusts at least 90 km/h or the presence of a tornado.
