Notes:
- For 1998, Feb 23 is not considered the spring melt date due to a new winter snow pack of 2 cm or more starting February 27 and lasting until March 24.
- For 1958, the spring melt date is difficult to define due to inconsistent snowpack throughout the winter. There was a 2cm+ snowpack from November 26 to January 9 and another from January 14 to February 23. Then, there were also intermittent snowpacks throughout March.
- 2023 - Both the Airport (average of 3 SOG sensors) and Weatherlogics reached trace on Apr 11.
- 1927 - Evidence of the date occurring sometime between March 15 and March 21 based on known snow depths of 3 cm on the 14th and trace on the 21st. Measurements found in observer notes at St John's College retrieved at the Library and Archives of Canada in Winnipeg.
- 1924 - Evidence of the date occurring sometime in the last week of February based on known snow depth of trace on February 29. Measurement found in observer notes at St John's College retrieved at the Library and Archives of Canada in Winnipeg.
- 2024 - The winter featured intermittent snow packs throughout the winter due to constant freezing and thawing. March 16 is the date when the last winter snow pack, which began in late February, melted down to less than 2 cm.
