Data Notes:
1875 - See June daily precipitation records notes.
1886 - See driest Aprils page for details. Changed from March 31 to April 28.
1894 - Possible trace snow on May 2nd, based on one page from the observer notes at St John's College. It is the only mention I have found anywhere (other than reports of sleet which I assume to be ice pellets), including no reports in the newspapers. As a result, I have chosen to ignore it for the time being.
1896 - The trace snow originally entered on May 6 in the ECCC Archives was erroneous. St John's College observer did not have any mention of snow throughout May. In addition, the temperatures were way too warm for snow (daily low of 16c). Note that I am also suspicious of the trace snow on April 23 because there is also no mention anywhere of snow falling on that date. The low for the day was 5.6c as well, too warm for snow. I am less confident about this however. If it is fake as well, the new last snowflakes date would be April 20th, which has proof of occurrence.
1903 - Trace snow on June 15 eliminated because it appears to be erroneous. The observer at St John's College did not record any snow according to their notes. Newspapers don't mention any snow. It just so happens to be the only station in Manitoba that ECCC has snow that June as well. All raises suspicions.
1906 - Snow was reported by the St John's College observer on May 18, changing the last snowflakes from May 5 to May 18.
1910 - 4.8 cm snowfall on May 28 was erroneous and eliminated, resulting in a last snow date of May 1. Observer notes from St John's College revealed that the rain amounts were mistakenly entered in the snow column for the date. Further evidenced by the fact that the snow amounts were entered when temperatures were 14-15c, far too warm for snow to fall. The observer, in their notes, also reported that rain was falling, not snow. The monthly summary from the observer showed no snow, and instead rain (4.8 mm) on the date. In addition, newspapers (note that this paper's 2.2 inches of rain is an error for 0.22 inches) had no mention of snowfall. They instead talked about rains that fell. The 4.8 cm for the date is changed to 4.8 mm of rain as a result.
1933 - Changed from April 19 to 27 after found evidence of ''snow, soft hail and sleet'' on the 27th in the observer notes at St John's College retrieved at the Library and Archives of Canada in Winnipeg.
1977 - Changed from May 6 to April 6 due to evidence that only ice pellets fell on May 6th at the Airport, not snow.
