Jan 17 - High snowfall 10.0 cm. Old record 9.6 cm in 2020.
- Maximum snow depth on ground was 48 cm, the deepest in January since 2017 and tied 10th deepest in January since 1955.
- A near-blizzard occurred on January 21st at Winnipeg Airport. Visibility remained below 800 metres for 5 hours, but failed to remain at or below 400 metres for 4 consecutive hours to make it a blizzard. It was the first near-blizzard since December 26, 2016. The last blizzard was on January 12, 2017 (until the blizzard of February 1, 2022). The near-blizzard of this January resulted in the closure of the Perimeter Highway. Several vehicles were in the ditch due to zero visibility and slippery conditions.
- Another near-blizzard the evening of January 31. It was very borderline, with only 3 hours of 800 metre visibility and winds near 40 km/h.
- 15 days with blowing snow reported at the Airport (regardless of visibility). This is a new record for January, going back to 1953. Old record 14 days in 1982. There were 10 days in 2014.
