June 24 heavy rainfall event:
- 50.0 mm of rain in 30 minutes. Old record for June was 39.5 mm in 1984. Old all-time record was 43.7 mm in Jul 1996.
- 32.7 mm of rain in 15 minutes. Old record for June was 22.8 mm in 1984.
- 21.1 mm of rain in 10 minutes. Old record for June was 19.0 mm in 1984.

- The 50 mm in 30 minutes has a return period that is rarer than a 1 in 100 year event --- very rare for a point location.
- On June 19 there were 12 consecutive hours of humidex above rounded 40 (>= 39.5), the 4th longest on record since 1953.
- Rob Paola officially closed his snow measuring station on May 31, and cocorahs station on July 1.
- Note that the high rainfall amount at Winnipeg Airport is largely due to the heavy thunderstorm of June 24. Some portions of the city, such as the southwest, did not receive nearly as much rain from that storm, resulting in much drier than normal conditions for June. Whyte Ridge for instance only recorded 57 mm of rain in June.
- Lake Winnipeg reached its 3rd highest water level since 1915, and highest since 1974. High winds on June 26 caused storm surge along the southern shores of the lake, flooding out some cottage areas.
- Saskatoon, SK also had a localized flooding thunderstorm on June 20, with locally 40-80 mm within 2 hours in southern parts.
